LTWYL-Chapter 4

Richard laid sprawled out naked on the couch. Anyone would have mistaken him for a dead body, but he might as well be dead. Slade did a lot of things, but never raped him. After another minute of blank staring, he focused his eyes on the kitchen's island, where Slade sat. In one hand there was a glass of liquor in the other a cigar. Richard didn't think Slade was a drinker let alone a smoker. 'Call Alex' He stated, no whispered. That propped Richard to sit up, and blink confused. Now with his mind slowly working again, he saw that Slade was deeply bothered by what he did, he looked almost ashamed. He silently did as he was told, Richard moved up off of the couch, and picked up the phone. Then he dialed Red's  number. "You think I can stay with you for a while?" Richard asked. Red would have been excited if wasn't for the fact that Richard sounded so dead, and out of character. "S-Sure, I'll pick you up." He stated before hanging up the phone. Silently Richard went into the bedroom and went to get dressed. He dared not look at himself in the mirror, he felt used, and dirty.

As Richard was getting dressed Slade finished his drink before taking the glass, and chucking it across the room. The glass shattered against the wall. He let his anger, and jealousy get the better of him this time around. The man then took a drag of the cigar, and sighed as he let the smoke out of his lungs. He'll leave Richard alone for a while, if anything he won't ever bother him again. Nay, that seemed like an impossible challenge, and even though he loved a good challenge he wasn't in the mood to even try anything. Richard packed a few things in a suit case that belonged to his adoptive father. It was a gift for his eighteenth birthday, and he was given it before he moved to Jump City. Neither spoke to each other as Richard walked out of the apartment. Once he was alone, Slade took out his phone, and called Wintergreen. "Pick me up." He stated in a monotone. The butler was a bit disturbed by his Master's tone of voice, he hadn't heard him so defeated before, ever. The elder nodded his head. "Yes, sir." He said before the line cut. Whatever happened, it surely was worst than anything he had seen.

Richard stood in the lobby of the apartment building staring, waiting for Red to show up. About two minutes passed before he saw the black car pull to the front. Red had stolen that car from Richard, which was how they met. He figured Red was cute enough to let him keep it, plus he can afford another one. Red entered the building, and walked up to Richard. He stopped when he saw the other. Richard's striking blue eyes were as dull as the dullest Grey, his face was also very somber. He sighed sadly as he started to walk again. Richard let Alex take his suit case, and when his hand was taken by the Klepto's he blinked, and looked at him. 'Let's go.' Red muttered softly as he lead Richard out of the building. As they exited the building Wintergreen pulled up behind them, and Slade was walking down into the lobby. Richard turned to look at Slade, he stopped to watch him. Even though he knew Richard was watching him, ignored him, and walked into the limo. The long vehicle soon  pulled away, soon leaving just the two of  them. Alex let Richard get into the car first before getting into it himself.

It was then that Richard spoke for the first time. 'Drop me off at the airport tomorrow.' Alex looked at him, and frowned deeply. "What, why?" Richard didn't look at him. 'Don't argue with me.' He replied quietly. Alex couldn't fight him, not in this state. He just nodded his head and started the car. Where ever he was going it might be a good thing for him.
